What exactly is the purpose of a business? (Viewing A Business As Vehicle For Success)

There was a certain time about a couple of months back when I was asking some entrepreneurs a couple of questions like why are we in business?  I got a different answer like to make money, fulfilling my passion, fulfil my purpose, live life on my terms, provide value and a lot of different answers but as for me I remember then when I got into business my sole aim was to provide for my family which is my mom especially which was my number one priority and later also have a little bit of freedom and have more choice in life.

View Business as a Vehicle you use to move from point A to B

The real term of business is nothing more than just a vehicle which gets an individual from point A to point B. It also means not being emotionally attached to it, so when you start seeing business as a vehicle that gets you from point A to point B you are going to win in life as a CEO, and even as an individual. You can see an individual having like 9 companies and doesn't feel emotionally attached to any of them and you see him making headway in the business space. A businessman or woman can sell their business when they have a good price for it because they don't feel attached to the business.

So let's look at business as a vehicle for instance, do you want to be a slave to your car? Ask yourself that question. Most entrepreneurs are like a child that is addicted to watching a cartoon movie, they are always eager and emotionally attached to their business because they derive their worth from their business. Most time entrepreneurs find their employees come to them and ask "Boss what do you want to do? What should we do next? What work should we do"? So they find fulfilment, Joy and most time their significance in the business. It becomes easy when most entrepreneurs get off the Hamster wheel they might get a little bit depressed, and a little bit frustrated because they are not in control.

Learn to align role to people and discover your significance as a entrepreneur

Let me paint a scenario, let's say you are a businessman, you always go to the office where your employees or your customers come to you to ask for inquiries what is the next step? What can we do next? But when you are not emotionally attached to your business and you delegate rules to people and it gets to a point that when you come to the office nobody is coming to ask you what to do. At that point what are you going to do? Maybe you might go to the beach, maybe you go hiking, maybe you find a hobby to do. What I'm saying here is you don't want to tie your significance in settling chaos, making sure are done on time. You want to make sure that your significant is tied to you getting results.

So in business, you may not be the best person that brings the best result to the table, but one question I want every entrepreneur to ask himself or herself is "How can I fire myself? How can I make sure that me as a CEO is out of the job? How can I replace myself? So that I can have someone else to run the company. Let me use myself as an example I run 12 companies, but the reason I'm able to run 12 companies is because I actually don't run 12 companies. I'm just a man, I can't do everything on my own, so as a businessman, I always have a partner, director, and guys who get things done by running the business.

Many years ago I was able to find out my weakness that I can't manage a lot of things, I'm not a good manager so I have to identify my weaknesses and strategize to find someone to help me out
